Iran’s ‘Hit the Road’ joins lineup of Singapore Int'l Film Festival

Iranian feature ‘Hit the Road’ is to vie at the 2021 Singapore International Film Festival.

Iranian feature ‘Hit the Road’ has made its way to the 2021 edition of the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF).

‘Hit the Road’ by Panah Panahi will take part in the Singaporean event’s Asian Feature Film Competition.

The feature is about “a chaotic family that sets off on a road trip which will change their lives forever”, according to a synopsis for the film.

Ten new films by directors making their first to third features are taking part in the Asian Feature Film Competition.

“This year, four of these mark directorial debuts, highlighting a new generation of exciting talent in Asia. The dynamism of the region is fully expressed through each film’s distinct localism and diversity of style,” the event’s website reads.

Earlier reports said ‘A Hero’ by Asghar Farhadi will participate in the Foreground section of  the SGIFF.

The 32nd Singapore International Film Festival will take place on November 25 – December 5, 2021.
